The Business Glow Up: Digital Marketing Course
Just BE has teamed up with Sewon Chung Barrera to create a course to better understand online marketing for small businesses. Sewon is a wonderful woman of color (WOC) marketing expert, who has collaborated with Samsung and The Exploratorium (just to name a few!) on marketing campaigns and strategies.
As we are in the thick of unprecedented times, living and navigating through the COVID-19 pandemic, life and business has changed dramatically over the past few weeks. Much of our in-person business has paused, and although rapid change and pivots can be scary, an opportunity has been created for us to reach more people by marketing our businesses online. Just BE and Sewon are working together to empower our small business community by providing space to learn this necessary information.
THE COURSE
We have put together a 8 week online program that will guide 15 WOC entrepreneurs through how to set up, implement, and evaluate a digital marketing campaign from start to finish.
In this course, you will learn…
This course is best for WOC entrepreneurs that have their own live business website.
**NOTE: We are currently unable to support entrepreneurs with Etsy or other third party seller websites at this time.**
DATE/TIME
>> May 5th - June 23rd
>> Weekly on Tuesdays
>> 2 hour sessions
>> Time TBA (based on your app responses)
THE APPLICATION PROCESS
We are accepting 15 women of color entrepreneurs into the program within the next TWO WEEKS. Please start by filling out this application and then you will be prompted to set up a call with us. Spots in the program are first come first serve, so please complete this app now <3. This application will only be open until Friday, May 1st.
This program is going to fill up and we don't want you to miss out!
COST
Spots in this course will be offered on a first come, first served basis. We want to help support the community during this time, and are offering a sliding scale for this course. The idea behind this sliding scale is to collectively support the community, while also compensating Sewon and the Just BE Team for the labor of love that has gone into creating this program.
We are offering spaces from Work-Study, reserved for those who may not be able to afford the cost of the course, to Tier 3- for those who can afford to invest in their space in the course and in another WOC entrepreneur who may not be able to afford the course at this time.
The Sliding Scale
Work-Study: Offered only to low-income entrepreneurs, and must agree to a work/trade responsibility
Solidarity - Tier 1: Offered to entrepreneurs with unstable income or no safety net
Sustainer - Tier 2: Offered to entrepreneurs with stable income
Supporter - Tier 3: Offered to entrepreneurs with more than enough income, who can invest in themselves and a work-study entrepreneur
If all of the above sound like exactly what you need to boost the sustainability of your business during COVID-19, then Please take 15 - 20 minutes to complete our application.
